I’m pretty stoked on Black Diamond’s range of clothing this winter. They’ve done an incredible job to create such a strong line in a short time. Most of the time it’s the technical stuff like the Cold Forge Hoody that occupies my attention. I’m really liking the Dawn Patrol range for touring and after having tried a Convergent Down Hoody the other day I’m kinda smitten. Definitely one of the coolest jackets out there at the moment.
The Casual Route Shirt really caught my eye though as it seems to fit with what BD is all about. They are one of those brands, a bit like Patagonia (with whom they share their roots), that exudes mountain history and heritage. The Casual Route Shirt kinda brings that ski/climbing bum thing up to date with synthetic insulation and a wind proof shell for superior warmth. Great for everyday outdoor stuff and perfect for apres.
