A review of the Jones Snowboards 2018 range of splitboards. As usual, things are looking awesome.
Jones Solution Splitboard 2018
How good is the Solution looking for 2018?! Super cool burnt orange colourway along with the usual raft of advanced features. New for 2018 the Solution gets Carbon split stringers for enhanced pop and precision.
Jones Storm Chaser Splitboard 2018
Although snowsurf has become really popular in recent years, there still aren’t that many boards like that Storm Chaser than come as a splitboard too. The Storm Chaser Splitboard has to be the ultimate deep powder split. This is the deck to take to the forests of Japan or BC.
The 2018 Storm Chaser Splitboard has the usual raft of Jones refinements including Karakoram Ultra Clips and skin tail notches.
Jones Ultracraft Splitboard 2018
The Ultracraft Splitboard is right up there with the most advanced splits on the planet. The Ultracraft has a high-end construction that makes it super lightweight and send the performance off the charts. Ideal for the all round big mountain rider who likes to ride all types of snow (but especially pow) on all terrain.
Jones Explorer Splitboard 2018
The idea with the Explorer is to bring a Jones all mountain splitboard to those operating at a lower budget or for riders looking to try out splitboarding and looking to keep their costs down. It’s still a wicked board though which holds its own within the Jones range and the market as a whole. Built around the Solution / Flagship shape with a freeride nose and freestyle tail for all mountain performance.
Jones Aviator Splitboard 2018
The Aviator is a fully paid up member of the Jones line these days. Introduces a few winters back, it’s a twin-ish shape, fully cambered board for the rider who likes a responsive board for all mountain riding. This makes the Aviator Split actually quite a rare beast and makes an ideal choice for the splitboarder who rides in all conditions and appreciates good edge hold and a lot of pop.
Jones Dream Catcher Splitboard 2018
The Dream Catcher is a Women’s specific splitboard with a directional shape and a slightly softer, more playful flex for great float in pow and easy turn initiation. The Dream Catcher still offers good stability and responsiveness when required however, along with the usual Jones construction and build quality.
