The Jones Storm Chaser is new for winter 2015 / 2016 and yes, it’s as beautiful a snowboard as I think I’ve ever seen. In fact I’m kinda embarrassed I chopped it’s nose off but there you go. Chris Christenson, the man who helped Jones shape the Mountain Surfer (seen here on the left) also had input in the development of the Storm Chaser.
Seems like surf inspired pow boards are where it’s at right now, which is pretty cool I think. The Storm Chaser should be one for the deep days and I’m going to guess will probably be a whole lot of fun in slushy conditions too. Awesome to see Jones Snowboards expanding yet again for next winter. They now have one of the most complete lines of big mountain and backcountry snowboards out there and all in just a few years. The stand at ISPO a couple of weeks ago was positively buzzing and plenty of folks were admiring the decks along the odd punter getting a quick photo with the man himself.
Keep an eye out for the Storm Chaser when next autumn swings around, I reckon it’ll sell through pretty fast.
